Rachel Noebe ’25, (pictured center) a senior with majors in Marketing and Supply Chain Management, is closing out her undergraduate journey with an impressive series of achievements. Last month, she led the ۿ۴ý’s American Marketing Association (AMA) chapter to two first-place wins at the American Marketing Association’s International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans, adding another milestone to an undergraduate experience marked by personal transformation.

Leading ۿ۴ý to the National Stage

Held from April 3 through 5 in New Orleans, the American Marketing Association’s International Collegiate Conference brought together hundreds of student marketers from across the country. As President of ۿ۴ý’s AMA chapter, Noebe played a central role in preparing the team for competition, alongside faculty advisor Dr. Yinglu Wu, Associate Professor of Marketing at ۿ۴ý.

ۿ۴ý’s AMA chapter earned two first-place awards at the event. Noebe earned recognition for her leadership of the chapter’s Marketing Week campaign, organizing a full week of professional development sessions, fundraising events, and networking activities on ۿ۴ý’s campus last semester. The significant role she played in running the event, resulted in the team’s first-place award for the Marketing Week Competition category.

The team also earned first-place recognition in the Social Impact Video Competition sponsored by Deloitte Digital. Their award-winning video, created on Canva, promoted to raise awareness around racial equity in soccer and society.

“It was an incredible experience, and I’m proud of the dedication and energy our team brought to represent ۿ۴ý,” said Noebe. “No wins would have been possible without the New Orleans team and all of our current AMA members.”

Beyond these wins, Noebe oversaw the creation of the chapter’s first-ever Chapter Plan and Annual Report, which contributed to ۿ۴ý earning three Outstanding Awards in Membership, Communications, and Chapter Planning. She also supported teammates throughout the competition, in areas ranging from sales to marketing strategy, helping position ۿ۴ý as a rising force in the AMA community.

“Rachel has demonstrated exceptional leadership, a strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for exploring personal development and learning opportunities,” said Dr. Wu. “As President of our AMA student chapter, Rachel led the organization through a period of remarkable growth, driven by impactful programs in professional development and member outreach. She is not only a strategic leader but also a hardworking, thoughtful, and passionate team player who actively participated in marketing competitions and inspired others to get involved.”

Expanding Her Global Perspective

Noebe’s academic journey also took her beyond U.S. borders. Her recent study abroad experience in Belize gave her first-hand insight into global business operations, sustainability, and culture. The immersive trip sharpened her international business acumen and broadened her perspective on leadership and service.

“I had a great time exploring Belize and visiting places like the Valley of Peace, Mayan ruins, Placencia, and cave tubing in Jaguar Paw with the group and faculty,” said Noebe. “We learned how businesses operate under different constraints and opportunities compared to what we see in more developed markets. The resilience and innovation in subsistence markets were inspiring. Alongside the amazing weather, conversations, stories, and activities, I gained forever connections.”

Preparing for the Next Chapter

After earning her bachelor’s degree this weekend in ۿ۴ý’s 2025 Commencement Ceremony, Noebe will continue her professional journey as a Management Consulting intern at Cohen & Company this summer. In the fall, she will return to ۿ۴ý to pursue her MBA as a Graduate Assistant for the Boler College of Business Professional Development Program.

“I feel ready to take on the real world upon graduation with a strong support system of faculty and peers at ۿ۴ý,” said Noebe. “I’m excited to come back for my MBA to further my education and assist with Boler’s Professional Development Program.”
